D’Vine inspiration struck in 2002 when recovering chef Joe Printz, in drastic need of a career change, opened The Grape DVine Wine Shop in an itty-bitty retail space in Tappan, NY. The shop became known for it’s witty and often eyebrow raising shelf talkers. People started talking and then gathering at the area’s most original, fun and friendly wine shop.

Fast forward eleven years, Joe was on the move again. This time to an old house on the Green at Depot Square in Sparkill, NY—a short distance from the original shop. The “itty-bitty” shop was now bigger, brighter and able to hold all the wine Joe had had in his sights for years.

One of Joe’s specialties is to suggest wine pairings with what ever food combinations you come up with. Whether it’s an oddball recipe pulled from the depths of the internet, your weekly leftover round-up or dinner at a local New Jersey BYOB, Joe and the staff at The Grape DVine will help you pair it with the perfect wine.
